Qualifications
- Education: Doctoral degree in Psychology
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical and administrative leadership in a behavioral health setting required
- Prior experience working in a psychiatric inpatient, residential treatment and/or day treatment center treating individuals with mental illness required
- Experience with clinical program development required
- Licensure/Certification: Full North Carolina licensure required
Position Overview:
The Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for the development and enhancement of clinical programming in all levels of care. The Chief Clinical Officer reports to the CEO and Chief Medical Officer and is an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The Chief Clinical Officer has responsibility and accountability for the therapeutic services provided to clients. This position manages both primary and integrative therapists.
Performance Requirements:
- Supervise primary therapists, integrative therapists, and student interns, providing direct clinical care to clients enrolled in all levels of care
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
- Complete performance evaluations and clinical competencies on direct reports
- Recruitment, training, and evaluation of Clinical Staff
- Assists in the development, monitoring and enhancement of clinical programming
- Direct provision of psychotherapeutic services and psychological testing
- Oversight of clinical documentation necessary to meet all regulatory requirements and the needs of third party payers, Joint Commission, and state/federal regulators
- Participate in community education/outreach events
